I went viral for my boxing showboating and now opponents demand more money to fight me – Beragampengetahuan
Ben Whittaker still doesn’t have an opponent for his upcoming clash despite the fight being less than two weeks away.
The surging light-heavyweight prospect is struggling to find a worthy challenger who is willing to face him on the Frazer Clarke vs Fabio Wardley undercard on March 31.

“Your guess is as good as mine, I have no clue,” he told beragampengetahuan.com when asked whether he knew who he would be boxing next.
“It’s been hard to find opponents so far in my career.
“But I’m just remaining focused, regardless of who they put in front of me the work remains the same.”
Anyone who has seen Whittaker fight will understand why there isn’t a long line of boxers queueing up to face him.
The 26-year-old has become a viral internet sensation for his flamboyant showboating and was recently tipped by promoter Ben Shalom to become British boxing’s next big superstar.
During his first six pro fights (6-0) Whittaker, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics, has humiliated almost every single one of his opponents.
In his last outing against French journeyman Khalid Graidia, he danced, dropped his hands and utterly embarrassed his overmatched foe before stopping him against the ropes with a vicious flurry of punches.
Understandably, few fighters wish to be turned into a highlight reel by Whittaker unless, it seems, there is a significant amount of money on the table.

“Especially after that last fight people are asking for more money now,” Whittaker added.
“I get it, it’s all part of the game and the business. All I can do is just keep working hard.”
Whittaker is no stranger to not knowing who his next opponent will be.
In the amateurs, it is rare boxers find out who they are facing until they climb into the ring together.
“It’s weird, I wasn’t really expecting it as a pro but I’m used to it because of the amateurs,” he continued.
“Even at the Olympics, you don’t know who you are fighting until the day of the fight sometimes so it’s held me in good stead.
“But I’m getting all different types of styles in for sparring so no matter who they put in front of me the outcome remains the same.”
