transactions – What percentage of bitcoin supply sits on certain UTXO output type? – Beragampengetahuan

Just like you, I’m only aware of a chart that shows the partition by count of the UTXO set. However, also on txstats.com there are individual stats per output type, which each include the amount of bitcoins held in outputs of that type.

As of 2023-08-17, these charts show:

Unfortunately, the sum of these numbers comes out to 18’670.0 k₿ which is significantly short of the 19’459.9 k₿ that exist this morning. I doublechecked the numbers that I transferred and my calculation. I cannot explain that discrepancy. I’m left guessing that either one of the charts is off, I’m missing a subset of the UTXOs (although I cannot think of another type), or that UTXOs recently transferred are not counted in some manner.
