Bec + Bridge fashion designer Bec Cooper makes $2m profit as North Bondi pad sells for $6.5m – Beragampengetahuan

12 Niblick St, North Bondi was bought by an Aussie expat living in Singapore.

Fashion designer Bec Cooper has made a $2m profit in four years with the sale of her ‘picture perfect’ North Bondi pad.

The four-bedroom stunner with pool at 12 Niblick St wasn’t due to go to auction until November 2, but Ray White Double Bay’s Warren Ginsberg said he had “four-or-five beach-goers” keen.

He had it wrapped up 10 days early for $6.5m. He’d had a guide of $6m.

It’s understood that the Singapore-based Aussie expat buyer plans to rent it out. He had Sam Green of Advantage Buyers Agents acting for him.

The Aussie expat buyers will be renting the summer paradise out for about $4000 per week.

Cooper had bought the property for $4.27m through Ginsberg in November 2019 and made only cosmetic improvements, including repainting and landscaping.

It came with three bathrooms and a carport with tandem parking and electric gated fence.

The new tenants are going to love the beach lifestyle, not to mention the large in-ground resort-style pool with day beds.

They’ll even get to stay cool over summer, thanks to the fully ducted air-con.

And imagine the dinner parties — they’re set to be cooking up a storm in the modern kitchen with Miele oven and appliances.

But the weekly rent will be a pretty packet — about $4000 per week.

Now Cooper, husband Dan Lewinsky and their children are on the hunt for their next home, a larger family residence in the east.

It will be interesting to see Cooper’s move up the property ladder, since the other half of the Bec + Bridge label, Bridget Yorston, upgraded to a grand St Elmo St, Clifton Gardens, Mosman home that cost $14.05m last spring.

That was the Federation home that was owned by the NSW Treasury Group chief David Deverall and his wife, Fiona Nyman. It sits on a 1,189sqm block and the four-bedroom residence had been redesigned by prominent architect Michael Suttor.

She had previously owned another Clifton Gardens Federation home that had cost $3.82m in 2016.

Both Cooper and Yorston have been regulars on Australian cat walks during Australian Fashion week since they co-founded the Bec + Bridge label two decades ago.

Their website says: “As fashion obsessed teenagers, they would raid their mothers’ closets, mixing and matching with careless abandon.”
