Best-selling children’s fantasy author John Flanagan and father of comedian Kitty Flanagan has just listed his Beauty Point house with never to be built out views for $6.5m – $7m.
He and his wife Leonie bought the Andrew Tzannes masterpiece for $4.1m in 2016 having moved over to Mosman from Manly.
The four-bedroom house at 12 Koowong Ave, Mosman is beside Beauty Point Reserve and has lovely views over Quakers Hat Bay, a wet-edge pool, a covered terrace off the living and dining areas, a second lounge, a home office with bespoke joinery and a gas kitchen with island bench.

Agent Stefon Bertram, of Pello Lower North Shore, said the house was great for entertainers and families but would also suit buyers looking for low-maintenance living, northern sun, privacy and a peaceful position. The home on 645 sqm of land goes to auction on Saturday September 30.
The online advertising describes the house as “a perfect sanctuary for a family at every age and stage.”

John is best known for his Ranger’s Apprentice series which appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List and which is sold in fourteen countries. He started writing the short stories to encourage his then 12-year-old son Michael to enjoy reading.
John was also the lead writer for the long-running television series Hey Dad! More recently he has been writing The Brotherband Chronicles with the ninth volume in the series, The Stern Chase, being published late last year.

Daughter Kitty is a hugely popular comedian, writer, and actress. Last year she won a silver Logie for most popular actress for her work in the ABC sitcom Fisk, a show she co-created, co-wrote, co-directed and starred in. She is also in television shows Utopia, Have You Been Paying Attention and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.
According to PropTrack, Mosman’s median house price is $5.15m.That’s down 1.9 per cent over the past 12 months.
