Masahiro Sakurai discusses the importance of staying on-top of emails – Beragampengetahuan

Masahiro Sakurai is back with yet another installment in his game development video series. Today’s video falls into the Team Management category, and it details an element of work that falls outside of actual game development, but it’s nonetheless important.

Although there are exceptions, Sakurai says that he generally never puts off emails to the next day. According to Sakurai, responding to things the same day not only feels better for you, but it improves the lives of everyone involved.

While I’m not involved in game development, I certainly subscribe to the same approach with email. Instead of letting things pile up day after day, I always clear my inbox before finishing up work, and I do my best to reply to everyone asap!
