A rich-lister couple who knocked down two mansions to build a brand new trophy home on the Noosa waterfront have sold the property for circa $30m — Queensland’s second biggest residential sale of all time.
The three-storey home at 43 Witta Circle in Noosa Heads comes with its own private beach and jetty, and signals a very big pay day for sellers Richard and Mary Delaney.

Mr Hunter declined to comment on the sale price due to a confidentiality agreement, but it is understood to be close to the latest $30m asking price.
The property at 43 Witta Circle, Noosa Heads, comes with its own private jetty.
He said the property attracted global and interstate interest, with a surprising number of potential buyers coming forward.
“We were surprised at the number of people who came forward and we had to vet the number of people who came through because we wanted to make sure the new owners had a home that still had the element of privacy about it,” he said.
The home was designed by architect Tim Litchfield.
“We’ve had 12 people in the last week looking for $20m-plus properties. It just shows the confidence people have in the Noosa market.”
“Everyone who was interested had a long history with Noosa. They’d been coming here for 10 to 20 years plus and were now financially able to buy their perfect Noosa lifestyle house.”
The lap pool runs along the length of the home at 43 Witta Circle, Noosa Heads.
Mr Hunter said the buyers loved the structure of the property, the subterranean carpark, the quality of the build, and the home’s location and privacy.
Designed by architect Tim Ditchfield, the four-bedroom home seems to hover over the Noosa Sound waterway.
This property at 43 Witta Circle, Noosa Heads, has sold in one of the biggest deals of all time in Queensland.
Fully furnished and with lift access across its three levels, the turn-key residence is 700 metres from Hastings Street and comes with a 25-metre lap pool, an office, a music room and a gym.
The Delaneys bought a 19ha lakeside property at Lake Macdonald for $10.2m off Betty’s Burgers co-founder David Hales and his wife, Louise, late last year.
Property records show the couple paid $17m for two neighbouring properties on Witta Circle in 2018 and 2020, only to demolish the existing homes, and sell off one of the blocks for $13m in 2021.
The new home at 43 Witta Circle, Noosa Heads, was sold by Richard and Mary Delaney.
They built the current property at 43 Witta Circle two years ago.
The record for a residential home sale in Queensland stands at $34m for a property at 17 Webb Rd, Sunshine Beach.
The beachfront home sold to Gina Rinehart in a deal that finally settled in March last year.
Big money is continuing to change hands in the Noosa Heads enclave, with another waterfront property at 40 Noosa Parade recently selling for more than $20m, also via Tom Offermann Real Estate.
