Media star Carrie Bickmore has made a whopping $1.3m resale profit on her Byron Bay cottage after five years of ownership.

The former Channel 10 The Project presenter sold her beachside abode in Byron Bay this week for $4.3m, after purchasing the property for $3m in January 2018, according to property records.

Bickmore had made small improvements to the home, including a pool deck and spa at a cost of around $100,000.

The radio presenter listed the home in mid November, shortly after announcing she was splitting with husband Chris Walker.

The price guide of the property was originally $4.7m.

The Massinger St home sits in the heart of Byron Bay, just minutes to the beach and popular local cafes.

Bickmore added the pool decking and a spa to the property which cost approximately $100,000.
