McCrae: Luxury home on target to set new benchmark in Mornington Peninsula suburb – Beragampengetahuan

12 Matthew St, McCrae is listed for $4m to $4.4m price hopes.

A luxurious property just minutes from the beach will likely set a price benchmark for McCrae.

The expansive home at 12 Matthew St, built by its owners just four years ago and featured in the pages of Home Beautiful magazine, offers sweeping views across Mornington Peninsula and Port Phillip Bay.

“The opportunity to live in Matthew St with the views the area had to offer … we knew we could build our dream home there,” says the vendor, Kelly McKenzie.

“The block being reasonably flat enabled us to have access to the rear of the property so we could have a boat/caravan.”

Belle Property, Dromana agent Grant McConnell has listed the 1521sq m property for private sale with price hopes from $4m to $4.4m, which would break the current record of $3.95m according to CoreLogic.

The marble kitchen has dual Miele ovens, luxe cabinetry and a butler’s pantry.

The expansive interior of the home was designed by Kate Walker at KWD and is abundant with natural light, with high ceilings and seamlessly connected living, dining and kitchen areas.

“Every room has its own wow factor thanks to Kate,” says McKenzie.

“The kitchen, it’s amazing to cook in, amazing to gather in, amazing to look at, just amazing.”

The main living room enjoys magnificent bay views.

Featuring marble benchtops and splashbacks, the kitchen also has dual Miele ovens, luxe cabinetry, and a butler’s pantry. The adjoining lounge/dining room includes a gas log fire and built-in TV cabinet and sliding doors open onto the large, covered deck with heating, ceiling fans, barbecue, and a kitchen hatch.

“New Year’s Eve is always a hit at our place,” McKenzie says.

The recently installed mineral pool with a heat pump, surrounded by a deck with umbrellas is another feature that is much loved.

Outdoors also include landscaped natural gardens and a firepit, a double garage, carport and workshop.

“My Husband and kids love the shed,” McKenzie says.

“They have recently restored a classic Australian muscle car.

The home overlooks the pool deck.

“The kids all like the shed, they like to tinker on their cars which reminds me of the old days when kids were outside not inside. My kids are never inside.

“The shed also has a gym in there so that’s another reason they are always out there.”

The four spacious bedrooms all include walk-in wardrobes, the master retreat also has an ensuite, and reverse cycle airconditioning.

“The study looks out at the beautiful moss birches in the front yard and up the hill.

“The master bedroom is an amazing space, you can lay in bed and look at all the lights twinkling.”
